Homing Malta("we", "us") operates a web platform that helps people in Malta find places to rent or buy and helps hosts publish listings and connect with seekers. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the platform, unless stated otherwise.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process:

• Account data — email address, password (stored hashed), display name, profile photo, role (seeker, host, or both).
• Listing and brief data — property details, photos, location you choose, budget, move-in dates, search area, and preferences you publish.
• Messages — content of conversations between users on the platform.
• Usage data — pages viewed, searches, saves, and similar interactions used to improve the product and show relevant content.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

We do not require a government ID to create an account. Do not share sensitive personal data in public profile fields or messages unless necessary.

3. Why we use your data

We process personal data to:

• Provide and secure the platform (account access, hosting).
• Display listings, seeker profiles, and search results.
• Enable messaging between hosts and seekers.
• Measure engagement and fix bugs.
• Comply with law and respond to valid requests.

4. Sharing with others

Information you publish (listings, public seeker profiles) is visible to other users and visitors. We use infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting, database, email) who process data on our instructions under agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

If another user reports abuse, we may review relevant account and message data to enforce our Terms.

5. Retention

We keep account and listing data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account; some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate disputes. Backups may persist for a limited period after deletion.

6. Your rights

7. International transfers
